During the winter semester 2021/2022, the Technical University of Lübeck in cooperation with Scientists4Future/HL held public lecture series every 14 days on Wednesdays on the topic “Climate – Change – Thinking”. A place where renowned scientists have their say and discuss the challenges and urgency of an issue that affects us all.
The climate crisis is present, threatening, and destructive. To what extent and in what way societies and their members are specifically affected depends not only on the temperature but also on regional conditions, and social and political conditions. A technical approach alone will not master the climate crisis. We are challenged to think and act that opens up to a planetary dimension. At the same time, it must take regional conditions into account. An intensive debate at all levels of society is necessary. The climate crisis affects the biosphere as a whole and thus the way in which we as humans position ourselves in it.
On December 1st 2021, DIALOGUES’ partner, GenderCC, held one of those lectures to 120 attendees, introducing the project objectives, the concept of energy citizenship and highlighting the importance of woman participation in the energy transition.
