Alleanza per il Clima Italia
For over 25 years, the member municipalities of Climate Alliance have been active in a partnership with the indigenous peoples of the rainforests for the benefit of the global climate: Climate Alliance is the world’s largest network dedicated to climate action (www.climatealliance.it).
As part of the Horizon project, the European Union tasked three groups of experts with identifying pathways to persuade European citizens to become energy citizens. One of these three projects, DIALOGUES, centered its research on “Citizen Action Labs” taking place in Italy in Città di Castello.
The Città di Castello lab, formed by Climate Alliance Italy with Karl Ludwig Schibel, Maria Guerrieri, Cecilia Trenti, and Roma Tre University with Giuseppe Carrus, Barbara Cardone, and Chiara Massullo, focused on individuals in precarious socio-economic situations (Hard-to-Reach Groups).
The Città di Castello Action Lab effectively highlighted the need for renewable energy and energy efficiency, capable of generating widespread and advanced energy citizenship.
